Hurts So Good

Ok, so I know I said I would cut out Coke. But, today was BAD! I am definitely addicted! Today, I had.... 3! I got one at the McDonald's drive thru, down the street from church no less! When I am bad, I am real bad! Ha Ha! But, it was so good! I swear that first sip is awesome, it burns in such a great way going down. Then as if that wasn't bad enough, we went out to dinner. And, I of course had to order a Coke. What else would I drink with warm rolls lathered with cinnamon butter, cool green salad topped with ranch dressing, zesty steak fries, and the ultimate medium well steak? Coke I say! Let them drink Coke! Tomorrow is a new day... I'll try again then!

Got to be Startin' Something

Today is the day I take the advice from my new book. I cleaned out the frig and pantry and in a little bit I'm going grocery shopping. I am going to follow their program. However, in the process of throwing out the junk, I came upon chocolate chip cookie dough, Coca-Cola, and Velveeta shells-n-cheese. I couldn't bring myself to throw it out. So, I had a last supper so to speak. My favorite food groups are the cheese one, the chocolate one, and the Coke one. So for lunch I had mac-n-cheese and chocolate chip cookies, washed down with Coke. I swore I wouldn't post any nonsense about a New Year's resolution, but by golly I did it anyway. There you have it: I wanna lose weight, duh! I will be keeping the rest of my resolutions to myself, so as not to set myself up for failure. If I achieve even one of them, I will blog about it next year. If I still blog that is.
P.S. I also got this, so if you see me wearing something weird on my arm, don't be alarmed. It charts my calorie burn and intake.

Thankful...

In honor of the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday, I thought I would share what I am thankful for:
1. My four beautiful, talented, funny, and amazing children
2. My super cute and patient husband
3. Family
4. Friends
5. A nice cozy home
6. My red hair
7. My sense of humor
8. Coca-Cola
9. Shoes! and Purses!
10. Make-up (I love being a girl!)
11. Good health (me, Jon, and the kiddos)
12. Books and magazines (I looove to read!)
13. Freedom
14. My parents for giving me life and red hair!
15. My laptop and my blog
16. Those of you who read it!
17. Oversized sunglasses
18. My "little" sisters (27 and 30, but I still see them as 10 and 13 sometimes!)
and last but not least I am so thankful that I am me and that I have been given this beautiful life. I am not rich in money, I didn't go to college, I am a teeny bit "chubby", and I get super stressed and a little down sometimes. But I wouldn't trade it for anything!
