Tonight Chloe and I had an interesting conversation. We were discussing bras. The conversation then turned to one of her friends, who had developed quickly. And, let's just say she no longer qualifies for a training bra... Anyway, Chloe told me she asked her friend about her new "figure". And this is their whole coversation:

Chloe: "Dude, what happened? You grew those really fast." (Chloe is so tactful.)

Friend: "I am not sure, I think it's because of all those Big Macs I have been eating."

Girl Power!

Jon and I were just talking the other day about the upcoming presidential election and we were both at a loss. To put it mildly, we were pretty sure we weren't going to be voting at all. Which is sad, because you feel as if 1) you're an adult and being able to vote is a privilege, 2) you hope that your one vote will have an impact, 3) it's your right as a US citizen, and 4) you want someone in the White House who stands for what you believe in. But, we have been feeling pretty un-interested in the whole thing and the candidates. Honestly, for me, ever since Mitt Romney withdrew I haven't paid a whole lot of attention. Until today. I am VERY excited about McCain's choice of Sarah Palin! I have been reading every article I can about her, and I am impressed. Up until today I had only heard about her once, after she delivered her last baby in May, and that was it. She had made national news because her son was born with Down's syndrome. Anyway, she seems like a tough, smart chick. Not to mention, she had on some pretty great red pumps today. So there, I haven't been this excited for an election in a looong time. And, I bet my parents and grandparents never dreamed we would have an African American Presidential nominee and a female nominated for Vice President. Wow, this is gonna be good. I am excited. And, just so you know, I NEVER hardly EVER get into politics at all. It's like opening Pandora's box...

Teenagers are like, so annoying...

Chan had some friends over tonight, which is fairly normal around here. They were using our house as their meeting place before heading to the football game. But tonight, they were seriously out of line and on my nerves. I was in the kitchen putting away groceries when my front door opened and in walked Julie, one of his friends. No knock, no ringing the doorbell, nothing? WTF? Then, not 10 minutes later I am in my room and I hear my cell phone ring (it's on the bar) so I head in there to answer it. I was kinda wondering why it stopped after 2 rings and I kid you not that same chick has my phone in her hand!! She looks at me as if nothing is amiss and tells me it was Hunter calling. I am still stunned. I am wondering if she was just being nosey and didn't realize my phone had a touch screen that picks up as soon as you barely touch it or what? Either way, I was a little peeved. So, I grab my phone and head back to my room and wait for them to leave for the football game. And, lo and behold here comes Chloe and she tells me that Evan, another one of Chan's friends took the whole 12 pack of Mr. Pibb to his room! This is the same kid who got into my pantry a week or so ago and grabbed a box of Cocoa Puffs. He was attempting to walk out the front door while simultaneously cramming cereal into his mouth. Anyway, I walked in there tonight and said to him, "we must have been fresh out of cereal." Then, I plucked the drinks from his hand and shooed them out the door. I would have never behaved that way at a friend's house, ever! The worst part of it is Chandler acts as if it's no big deal, because these kids are "just being themselves." Oh, ok, being rude and nosey and having no manners is acceptable? Wow, me and Chan need to have a talk.

Happy Birthday Dear Blog and Congrats on 400 Posts Giveaway!!!

Oh my goodness, what a crazy year in the world of blogging!! Not only is it 1 YEAR ago today that I started my blog, but I just happened to hit 400 POSTS today! That is alot of blogging. WOW! It has been a ton of fun. I have met lots of cool chicks who also blog, taken lots of fun pics, and have had fun pretending to be a "writer". I have also had my share of drama, like days when no one comments, BOO! Or, when pictures won't load or the internet goes down. But, it has been a blast! I have especially had fun changing headers almost as often as I change my undies, only kidding. I have really enjoyed my blog and hope those of you that read it have enjoyed it as well. I can't even imagine what it would be like without logging in each day to post or read my comments! Anyway, I'll shut up and now and announce what my giveaway is to celebrate my "blog birthday"!!

Rude huh? I have always feared this would happen. Actually I knew it would, but I didn't know it would happen before high school. Girls using Chloe to get to Hunter and vice versa. I am just stunned at how mean and catty little girls are. It was bad enough when I was a kid, But nowadays, girls are ruthless. Unfortunately, it doesn't ever seem to go away. Women are bitches, some more so than others. Anyway, Mama Bear is pissed!

First Day

Today was the first day of school. And, man are we tired. The morning was hectic, with us all running around like crazy and barely making it out the door on time. It ended up taking over an hour to get each kid to their respective schools. Except Chandler. He got a ride from a friend, since he's a JUNIOR in high school now! The afternoon went much smoother, until time to eat dinner, walk the dogs, and bathe. Let's just say I am glad the kids fell asleep fast, 'cause mama is headed to the tub with a magazine. This year is gonna be crazy. Hunter started middle school, and this is the first time Chloe has been at school without Hunter. Not to mention, all 4 of them are in DIFFERENT schools!! Anyway, I got a few photos and once again Chandler is absent. But, since I got one of these, I will be taking LOTS of pics whenever I please!

'Twas the night before the first day of school...

They'd been hanging out just playing it cool.

The whole family was fed, and their prayers had been said.

Their uniforms were laid out with care, each one hanging on the back of a chair.

The kiddos were snuggled all cozy in bed, each one feeling a sense of dread.

Momma was resting after a day full of chores, while Poppa just rested, a bundle of snores.

The clocks were set and turned on, all so they would ring at the crack of dawn.

Breakfast had been planned and lunches packed, Momma had even made each child a special snack.

She thought to herself, I can't believe it's already here, another freakin' school year!

Morning will be here in a flash, and the Myers' family will be off in a dash.
