The Great and Crappy Weekend
So, I guess I've intrigued you long enough. Basically my husband and kids had a big BMX race in San Antonio this weekend. I decided I would tag along for part of it, but not until I had seen my sister Amy, her hubby Jesse, and baby Jonah. I was gonna shop my heart out in San Marcos at the outlets with Amy all day Saturday and then meet up with my family Saturday evening in San Antonio. Shopping was GREAT! I got a gorgeous red purse and wallet from Fossil for over half off, 4 pillow shams from Pottery Barn for $1.97 each(!), a top from Motherhood, and a super cute stuffed elephant for the baby. There was not near enough time to hit every store and it was 98 degrees! After shopping I was trying to decide where to stay- Amy's house, where I would have a nice air conditioned guest room all to myself or the RV with my family and 5 of our neighbors... Hmmm, seemed like an easy choice until Chloe called me in misery with a migraine. She needed her Mommy. So, I headed to San Antonio armed with children's Tylenol, a Milky Way bar for energy, and some awesome body wash. At the very least I could get a shower in the RV, right? Wrong! When I got there I discovered that the kids broke the shower knobs and my husband forgot to fill the water tank anyway... I sat on the lumpy "bed" in the recreational vehicle and cried. Fast forward to Sunday's happenings: I took a much needed "spit bath" in the bathroom at Whataburger, watched my family race a total of 5 minutes which took 8 hours to accomplish, babysat the neighbor's kids, and got one heck of a nasty sunburn. WOW!Such fun! When it was all said and done I was more than ready to go home. So, I packed Hunter into the van with me and headed for Ft. Worth. After a brief stop to have dinner with Amy and co. I hauled some boo-tay. I was less than 40 miles from home when Deputy Dog pulled me over and gave me a ticket for going 78 in a 70. I was in total disbelief. I even pulled the I'm pregnant and I have to pee card, and it obviously didn't work. So... needless to say there was some great moments and some crappy moments. I thoroughly enjoyed hanging out with Amy and her family- Jonah is sooo freaking cute (I forgot to take pics, oops), shopping was awesome as always, I loved being with my husband and kids, and had some really good talks with Hunter- which lately is rare. The crappy stuff sucked, but oh well. I'll live, it's just gonna cost me a pretty penny. The ticket, the broken shower knobs, curtain and rod in the RV, lightbulbs with plastic burned onto them (don't ask) and the latch to the RV door. I also learned a lesson (I sure hope Jon did too): don't offer your neighbor and his kids the use of your RV. I don't care how big it is, 2 families are too much for one vehicle. Anyway, that which doesn't kill us makes us stronger right?

Blog Post #499!
Holy cow, I just noticed that I am 1 away from 500, DANG! WOW! SERIOUSLY! That's alot of talking and writing.
Tonight, I am gonna do one of my all-in-one posts, just because I feel this overwhelming urge to blog. Not really. Just sounded good. So, here's what's up:
I haven't started decorating for Christmas yet. If you know me, this is a shocker! I just haven't had the chance, I am just getting things running smooth since our trip and today was so windy, that the outside decorations were a no go. I will decorate by Monday morning. I have put myself on a deadline! I have 6 Christmas trees that are itching to be decorated. Yep, 6 of them.
Coco got "fixed" today. I never thought I would ever see that dog this calm. She is not doing so hot. She still won't eat or drink and she is very lethargic, even though her surgery was over 12 hours ago. Daisy is beside herself without her buddy. I finally had to put their kennels nose to nose so they could look at each other. Daisy seems so worried about Coco which is sweet. The funniest thing is Coco's buster collar, which keeps getting hooked on things like door frames and laundry baskets. The next 2 weeks are gonna be interesting.
My beautiful new boots came in the mail today. Cheers! But, they don't freaking fit!! I am bummed beyond belief. And, I am not even sure how big the extended calf of the boot was. Because the only thing stopping me from trying them on is called a BUNION! Oh man, I was ticked. That is putting it mildly. I was already creating lovely outfits in my brain, but it just wasn't meant to be. I'll just stare at chicks in knee boots and daydream. Hopefully no one gets the wrong message.
I am super excited about this weekend. My sweet little nephew Jonah is getting blessed on Sunday. So, I will be heading to Austin to see him and his Mommy and Daddy on their special day. I can't wait to see how much he's grown. I kinda feel bad about church though. I haven't been to my new ward in over 2 weeks and Sunday will make it 3. Hopefully no one forgot my name! I am really enjoying the friendships I have made and the people I have met so far. If anyone from FW 3rd is reading: I'll be back! Promise!
I am halfway through Eclipse, and I am enjoying the books more than I thought I would. I really love to read and there aren't too many books I won't read. I had heard these books were cheesy and teenagery, but so am I! Sure, there are some far-fetched parts and there have been some dull moments, but so far they are good. I am gonna go see Twilight tomorrow evening, and I am looking forward to it. And, I have promised my boys that I will start the Harry Potter books next. I have read the first book, back in 2001. Which seems forever ago, so I will be starting all over again soon.
I have moved from the fat ladies department (as my mom likes to call it) to the not fat ladies department at Dillards. I was actually able to fit into a size 14 dress tonight. Granted, I couldn't breathe or feel my breasts, but still. I have been shopping at Lane Bryant for years, so it's nice to have other options, even an XL. I was feeling pretty ick about dieting and stuff, but tonight recharged my weight loss batteries. I have a new goal of size 8 by next Summer, help me!
And, last but not least. I have been approached by a website about posting an article about popular toys for the holidays. So, if you see an article pop up in the next few days, don't be alarmed. It's just a guest blogger. And, I am getting paid. Pretty cool huh?
So, there you have it. Today's pot of blogger soup. Come back and see me real soon, ya hear?

Move over Target
So, I know I said in my previous post that I was gonna lay off on blogging a little. But, today I think I had an almost religious experience. You see, I ventured to Frisco. And, once there I headed to IKEA!!! Oh my goodness! I have never been there before but I had heard many people sing it's praises. But to be there and witness that beautiful store in all it's glory myself was wonderful. I totally see why they serve food, you'll need it if you want to stay long enough to see all that Ikea has to offer. I wanted to stay all day, but my kids needed rides home from school. I had a blast, I went with Kelli and her boys and I am sure they got tired of hearing me gush. But, I couldn't help myself. I am about to re-do almost every room in my house and am gonna be on a major budget. Ikea has alot of the things I want and need, and the prices are great! Sure, if I had my choice I'd furnish and decorate along with the help of Restoration Hardware, Ethan Allen, Pottery Barn, and Crate & Barrel with a little vintage thrown in. But, I am poor and poor people bargain shop. I am so excited to have another place to find cute house stuff besides Target. I will always remain loyal to Target, she just has some competition now! By the way, Jon: we are so going to Ikea on your next day off! No excuses! And, you might wanna find your wallet...
